SCARBOROUGH OPEN AIR THEATRE

The original open air theatre was built by Scarborough Corporation in 1932 making use of a natural amphitheatre shape of the site. It is a striking landscape feature with the stage on an island across the lake. It fell into disrepair following it's last production in 1982 but it has now been fully refurbished and was opened by the Queen on 20th May 2010.
